One of the original visions for
the Natural Gas Engineering and Management program
was to
enable
students who cannot attend classes on the Norman
campus to earn a degree via distance learning.
Since the program’s inception in 2000, selected courses in the program
have been available via distance learning.
Currently, four of the required core courses in the program are available via distance learning.
Theses courses are:
Course # |
Title |
| PE 5603 |
Introduction to Natural Gas Engineering & Management |
| PE 5613 |
Natural Gas Engineering |
| PE 5623 |
Gas Processing |
| CHE 5643 |
Gas Utilization |
In addition, selected elective courses are available via distance learning from time-to-time.
The distance learning courses are semester-based and follow the same course sequence as the
on-campus program. Distance learning students view the same lecture seen by on-campus students in the
classroom. These lectures are available for viewing over the Internet immediately following the classroom
lecture. Distance learning students complete the same homework assignments as classroom students and
take the same examinations. Communication with the course lecturer can be arranged via
telephone or email.
Courses available via distance learning in Spring 2007 are:
